With all the NCAA tournament action, you may not have noticed some history being made during the opening weekend of the baseball season.
Not only did the Texas Rangers sweep the Boston Red Sox, but Ian Kinsler and Nelson Cruz became the first set of teammates in history to homer in each of their first three games of the season.

As the season began, a lot of experts were focused in on the Red Sox or New York Yankees as being the teams to beat in the American League. However, the Rangers used their opening series of the season to remind the world that THEY in fact are the defending A.L. champions, and they have no intentions of relinquishing that title without a fight.
There's still a ton of baseball to be played, but don't be surprised if Texas is once again right in the thick of the playoff chase come September.
Don't sleep on the Rangers people!
