Sugar Shane Mosley Forced to Give Up Title Belts in Divorce

TMZ is reporting that boxer Sugar Shane Mosley is being forced to give up three of his championship belts to his wife in a divorce settlement.

The settlement provides that ex-wife Jin, "shall maintain custody and control of three championship belts for each of the respective parties' three minor children." Each of the kids get a belt when they turn 18. According to the settlement, the ex-wife will also get half of Mosley's profits from videotapes and DVD's of his biggest fights, including bouts with Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto and Fernando Vargas.

Since the divorce was filed in the state of California and community property rules apply, Jin also gets half of Mosley's fight purses during their marriage. Luckily for him, his big fight with Manny Pacquiao was held after the couple separated, so that $3 million is his alone.

The best part? During their marriage, the couple accumulated approximately 854,410 in American Express points, to which she also gets half. To put that in perspective, her 427,205 points could net her either an industrial generator or a ten-speed bike.
