Yankees Hit Record-Breaking Three Grand Slams

By - Kris Fletcher

Earlier today, the New York Yankees became the first team in major league history to hit three grand slams in a game, with Robinson Cano, Russell Martin and Curtis Granderson connecting in a 22-9 win over the Oakland Athletics.

Cano began the barrage with his slam in the fifth off starter Rich Harden. Martin connected in the sixth off Fautino De Los Santos, and Granderson launched his in the eighth off Bruce Billings.

Many of the fans actually headed home with the Yankees trailing 7-1 after three innings and rain still falling in a game that began after an 89-minute delay.

I would imagine those folks spent the majority of the evening second-guessing that decision.

  2. I LIKE them, and think it's impressive as well. Lol For the record, I like Boston more though.
