Bleacher Babe of the Month: April, 2013

With the NFL Draft taking place later this month, we figured we'd get an early jump on the football festivities by bringing in a young lady that's all about the pigskin.

Now I must admit, I'm a little partial to this month's featured Bleacher Babe. In all honesty, she may very well be my favorite one to date. Granted, the fact that she's a New England Patriots fan has a whole lot to do with it, but hey, she's kick-ass nonetheless.

So without further ado, I give you Amanda Canada!

Hi guys, my name is Amanda, and I'm very excited to be this month's Bleacher Babe!

The first thing you should know about me is that I'm a huge football fan. Huge. And what better team to root for than the New England Patriots?!? I know, I know. Some of you are booing right now, but that's okay. It's all part of the fun.

I live with a Baltimore Ravens fan, and as you can imagine, football season is a pretty big deal at our house. There are many nights where one of us (meaning him) ends up sleeping on the couch. Yes, it's that serious!

To me, it's about more than just the game itself, though. It's the beer, chicken wings, tailgating, and overall stadium experience in general. Oh, and did I mention beer? Those things make it the best for me. Being able to dress up in my favorite outfit on game day and becoming a take no prisoners fan. It's the perfect way to bring your family and friends together.

It's crazy how close you feel to your team sometimes. When they lose, you lose. When they hurt, you hurt. When they cry, you cry. I know all you diehard fans out there know exactly where I'm coming from!

A lot of my friends call me crazy because I got the Patriots team logo tatted on my thigh and because I own tons and tons of New England gear, but I just look at it as being a dedicated fan. I can be having the worst week ever, but when football Sunday rolls around, it's like all of my worries disappear.

But no matter what team you pull for, always remember, safety first. And what I mean by that is, don't drink and drive home from a party of sports bar. Drink responsibly. Get a DD!
